Ayodhya’s Grand Deepotsav: A Celebration of Light and Tradition
The focal point of these directives is Ayodhya’s Deepotsav, which has gained global recognition for its grandeur and magnificence. Every year, since its inception in 2017, Deepotsav sets new records, and this year, Ayodhya is set to shine with an awe-inspiring display of 21 lakh lamps. CM Yogi Adityanath has stressed the necessity for meticulous arrangements, ensuring the availability of lamps, oil, wicks, appropriate spaces, and volunteers for this grand event.
Upcoming Festival Season and Vigilance
The upcoming period holds significance with festivals like Diwali, Govardhan Puja, Bhai-Dooj, Devotthan Ekadashi, Ayodhya Deepotsav, Kashi Dev Deepawali, and Chhath Mahaparva. CM Yogi emphasized the need for constant vigilance during this time, considering the sensitivity of law and order, especially as bathing fairs and other celebrations occur around Kartik Purnima.
Deepotsav: Rooted in Tradition and Culture

The festival symbolizes the revered memory of Lord Shri Ram, Mother Sita, and Lakshman’s return to Ayodhya after their 14-year exile. Ayodhya’s Deepotsav will narrate the symbolic events, including Shri Ram’s return, Bharat Milap, and Shri Ram’s coronation, along with an Aarti of Saryu Maiya.
