Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Kashi was marked by his unwavering commitment to efficient governance and accountability. During his two-day sojourn, he reiterated the importance of expeditious decision-making and prompt execution of government projects, emphasizing that no file should be stalled without valid reasons.
In a directive aimed at streamlining administrative processes, Chief Minister Adityanath urged that work should not remain pending at any level. To ensure this, he called upon District Magistrates to take assertive action against non-functioning agencies and hold them accountable. He advised that FIRs be filed against such agencies, followed by necessary measures for blacklisting them.
During his visit to Kashi, the Chief Minister conducted a comprehensive review of various ongoing development projects at the Circuit House. In response to complaints regarding negligence in the Jal Jeevan Mission, Chief Minister Adityanath reprimanded officials from the Jal Nigam. He also expressed his dissatisfaction with the Vigilance raid carried out by the Electricity Corporation and directed that over-billing issues should be addressed immediately. He emphasized that stringent action would be taken in cases of over-billing.
With the festive season on the horizon, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stressed the need for preparations to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to meet the expected rise in demand. He called for strict monitoring to prevent power outages during festivals and auspicious events.
“Addressing concerns about road widening, the Chief Minister expressed his disapproval of the unnecessary elevation of roads by one or two feet, as it could lead to rainwater seeping into nearby residences. He urged officials from the Public Works Department to ensure sensible road construction practices”.
In the spirit of enhancing the glory of Kashi, Chief Minister Adityanath emphasized that development work in the city should align with its historical and cultural significance. He encouraged government agencies, including the Public Works Department, Bridge Corporation, and State Construction Corporation, to collaborate effectively, complete projects on schedule, and promptly report any issues to the government.
“Additionally, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted the significance of Dev Diwali, urging for its grand celebration. He emphasized the need for stringent cleanliness measures at the ghats, improved public address systems, and well-maintained access roads. Crowd control and security arrangements were stressed, with senior officers tasked with monitoring these aspects to ensure Kashi’s grandeur is showcased to tourists from around the world”.
During his visit, Chief Minister Adityanath inaugurated Anna Kshetra and personally served food to children, saints, and the public, fostering a warm connection with the people. His friendly interaction with children, who welcomed him with roses and received chocolates from the Chief Minister, added a touch of joy to the event.
