Gorakhpur: The Gorakhnath Temple, globally celebrated for its spiritual significance, is currently abuzz with devotees drawn to the popular Khichdi fair. In a notable initiative, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Municipal Corporation’s efforts to transform the fair into a zero-waste festival and extend support to the less fortunate.
The Chief Minister, also known as Gorakshpeethadhishwar, commenced the rituals to make the Khichdi fair environmentally sustainable, aligning it with his commitment to cleanliness and welfare. In a heartening gesture, CM Yogi distributed woolen clothes, shawls, and blankets among those in need. Taking personal involvement, he served Khichdi Prasad to innocent individuals, spreading warmth and compassion.
To streamline the fair’s logistics, the Municipal Corporation established a temporary camp office within the Gorakhnath Temple. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated this office before embarking on a mission to launch a statewide cleanliness campaign in Ayodhya. Concurrently, he inaugurated the RRR Center and flagged off the Municipal Corporation’s cleaning vehicles, emphasizing the importance of cleanliness in public spaces.
As part of the drive to make the fair plastic-free, CM Yogi inaugurated an automatic vending machine providing cloth bags. This step aligns with environmental sustainability, contributing to the broader vision of reducing plastic usage in public events.
During the occasion, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his benevolence by distributing blankets and woolen clothes among the needy, ensuring they are well-equipped to face the winter chill. His involvement in serving Khichdi Prasad to children underscored the significance of love, care, and blessings in fostering a sense of community and compassion.
Accompanying him in these initiatives were notable figures such as Mayor Dr. Manglesh Srivastava, Municipal Commissioner Gaurav Singh Sogarwal, and various officials.
