Clarifying Flood Plain Zone Rules
The Chief Minister clarified that the floodplain zone had been marked according to orders and rules issued by the National Green Tribunal (NGT), which includes private land. He assured that there is no need or proposal to vacate the area, and there is no consideration for demolishing private buildings currently in the floodplain zone.
Ensuring Fair Compensation and No New Construction
Yogi Adityanath stated that no new construction would be allowed in the flood plain zone without permission from the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG). He ordered the removal of signs placed on buildings during floodplain zone marking and assured that any privately owned land acquired in the river bed would receive adequate compensation according to the rules. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting the interests, satisfaction, and convenience of every citizen.
