Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a special initiative for the upcoming Shravan Purnima Raksha Bandhan festival on 19th August. In line with his instructions, all women in the state will be able to travel for free in Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses from the night of 18th August until the night of 19th August.
This move is designed to facilitate the festive travel of women across the state, ensuring they can celebrate Raksha Bandhan with their families without any transportation concerns. The initiative highlights the government’s commitment to supporting women during significant cultural events.
