CM Yogi Gears Up for Shri Ram Lalla’s Idol Consecration Ceremony in Ayodhya

Ayodhya: As anticipation builds for the consecration ceremony of the much-awaited new idol of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhyadham, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken proactive measures to ensure a seamless and grand event on January 22.

In recognition of the emotional significance attached to this event, Chief Minister Adityanath has instructed the declaration of a holiday in educational institutions across the state on January 22. Terming the occasion a ‘national festival,’ he has further called for the closure of liquor shops in the state on the same day.

After visiting Ayodhya on Tuesday, the Chief Minister, following darshan and worship of Shri Ram Lalla and Hanuman Garhi, held a crucial meeting with officials of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. Focusing on the Vedic rituals of Pran Pratistha starting after Makar Sankranti, Adityanath directed officials to extend all necessary cooperation to the Trust in ensuring the security and success of the ceremony.

“With the influx of dignitaries expected for the consecration, the Chief Minister emphasized enhanced hospitality arrangements in Ayodhya. He advocated for selecting resting places for VVIPs in advance and expanding tent cities, drawing inspiration from the setup during the Kumbh Mela”.

Addressing the importance of cleanliness, Adityanath called for public cooperation and urged for a special cleanliness campaign starting January 14. Ensuring a polythene-free Ayodhya, he directed an increase in the number of sanitation workers.

“Highlighting the historic nature of the consecration, the Chief Minister announced the celebration of Deepotsav at Har Dev Temple on January 22. He urged every Sanatan believer to participate by lighting Ramjyoti in their homes. Adityanath called for the decoration of government buildings and arrangements for fireworks in the evening”.

In terms of healthcare, he instructed the preparation of 10-bed health centers in all tent cities, with cooperation expected from social and cultural organizations. Plans for ambulance deployment and specialist doctors were also emphasized.

“With a surge in visitors anticipated, Adityanath stressed the need to organize night shelters and create green corridors on routes from Lucknow, Prayagraj, and Gorakhpur to Ayodhya. He called for an attractive action plan for parking and traffic management on January 22, including the availability of electric buses”.

As part of the digital initiative, Adityanath directed the development of a tourist app for Ayodhya, ensuring live telecasts of the consecration ceremony. Security measures were emphasized, including verifying outsiders residing in Ayodhyadham.
