Varanasi (UP): On the 13th of January CM Yogi Today, inaugurating the world’s longest river cruise (Ganga Vilas) Yatra in Varanasi, participated in the inauguration/foundation laying ceremony of various development projects including Tent City.
Yogi said Heartfelt gratitude to respected PM narendramodI for giving a new height to the development of Kashi!
Yogi said, “Today we can see that the Ganga project has moved ahead leaving a new height of success, today the result of the same is that in another Prayagraj, the success of Pragraj Kumbh in 2019 was seen touching a new height due to the success of Namami Gange”.
Yogi said, The purity of the water in the Ganga and the re-appearance of the Gangetic dolphin are also visible to all of us in this holy river and the task of transforming the lives of boatmen who link their livelihood with the Ganga is being done by more than 1600 boatmen in Varanasi alone. By providing CNG kit to their traditional boats which used to run by diesel or manually, today through the Namami Gange scheme, there is not even a single boatman who can sail for the whole year in a single season as compared to earlier.
