CM Yogi Launches DBT Scheme for Students, ₹1,200 money transferred to parents per student.

Lucknow, India – In a significant move towards enhancing access to education and promoting inclusivity, Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, announced the initiation of a Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme during the education session of 2023-24. Under this scheme, students studying in schools affiliated with the Basic Education Council will receive financial assistance for essential school supplies, including a dress, school bag, shoes socks, and stationery. The funds, amounting to ₹1,200 per student, will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of their parents or guardians, easing the burden of educational expenses.

Financial Assistance for Essential School Supplies

Recognizing the importance of providing a conducive learning environment, the Uttar Pradesh government, under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, has taken a commendable step by initiating the DBT scheme. The provision of ₹1,200 per student will enable parents and guardians to purchase essential school supplies, ensuring that children have the necessary tools for their education. By directly transferring the funds to bank accounts, the government aims to streamline the process and reduce any potential bureaucratic hurdles, making the scheme more accessible and efficient.

The financial assistance provided through the DBT scheme will go a long way in supporting families from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. It will alleviate the financial burden associated with purchasing school supplies, which can often be a challenging task for many households. By ensuring that students have the necessary materials, the government aims to enhance their educational experience and promote equal opportunities for all.

Empowering Girls and Students with Disabilities

In addition to the financial assistance for essential school supplies, Yogi Adityanath also highlighted the commencement of the transfer process for scholarships to girls studying in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas. This step emphasizes the government’s commitment to promoting girls’ education and empowering them to pursue their academic aspirations. By providing scholarships, the government aims to encourage more girls to enroll in schools and create an environment that fosters gender equality.

Furthermore, the DBT scheme also extends its support to disabled girl students by providing them with a stipend. Additionally, seriously disabled students will receive an escort allowance, recognizing the additional challenges they face in accessing education. These initiatives demonstrate the government’s dedication to inclusivity and ensuring that no student is left behind.

Yogi Adityanath, extending his congratulations and infinite best wishes to all the students, emphasizes the government’s commitment to education and its efforts to provide a conducive learning environment for every child. The DBT scheme’s implementation marks a significant milestone in the state’s education sector, enabling students to pursue their studies without financial constraints. By addressing the needs of underprivileged students and empowering girls and disabled students, the government sets the stage for a more equitable and inclusive education system.
