On the 6th of January CM Yogi Pays a Humble tribute to the great creator of literature in modern Hindi Khadi Boli, eminent playwright, and journalist, ‘Bhartendu’ Harishchandra on his death anniversary.
Yogi said, “His excellent creations for the protection and promotion of Indian culture will continue to inspire the literary society and the general public forever”
Know about Bhartendu Harishchandra:-
The father of modern Hindi literature is called Bhartendu Harishchandra (9 September 1850-6 January 1885). He was the first author of modernity in Hindi. His original name was ‘Harishchandra Bhartendu’ was his title. His tenure stands on the cusp of an era.
He adopted the land of healthy tradition and sowed the seeds of innovation, leaving aside the nutrients of the perverted feudal culture of Ritikal. The beginning of the modern period in Hindi literature is considered to be from Bharatendu Harishchandra.
Bhartendu ji, famous as the forerunner of the Indian Renaissance, made the depiction of the country’s poverty, dependence, and inhuman exploitation of the rulers the goal of his literature. He used his talent in direction of making Hindi prestigious as the national language. He is considered a pioneer of the era for his writings depicting the exploitative nature of the British Raj.
