Commencement of Auspicious Pre-Ceremonial Rituals for Pran Pratistha: January 16 to January 21, 2024

Ayodhya: The auspicious occasion of Pran Pratishtha Yoga for Lord Shri Ramlala is set to unfold on Paush Shukla Kurm Dwadashi, Vikram Samvat 2080, falling on Monday, January 22, 2024.

1. Classical Method and Pre-Ceremony Traditions:

Following classical traditions, the consecration ceremony will adhere to the Abhijeet Muhurta. The auspicious rituals preceding Pran Pratistha commence from January 16, 2024, extending till January 21, 2024.

Dwadash Adhivas Schedule:

  • January 16: Atonement and Karmakuti worship
  • January 17: Entry of the statue into the premises.
  • January 18 (evening): Pilgrimage worship, Jal Yatra, Jaladhivas, and Gandhadhivas.
  • January 19 (morning): Aushadhivas, Kesaradhivas, Ghritadhivas.
  • January 19 (evening): Dhanyadhivas
  • January 20 (morning): Shakradhivas, Fruitdhivas
  • January 20 (evening): Pushpadhivas
  • January 21 (morning): Mid-day
  • January 21 (evening): Bedtime

2. Adhivas Process and Acharya:

The prana pratistha ceremony typically involves seven adhivas, with a minimum of three in practice. Coordinated by 121 Acharyas, Shri Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid will oversee the processes, while Shri Laxmikant Dixit of Kashi assumes the role of Chief Acharya.

3. Special Guests:

Distinguished figures including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat, Governor Anandiben Patel, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will grace the Pran Pratishtha event.

4. Diverse Establishment:

Representatives from various schools of Indian spirituality, over 150 traditions, saints, Mahamandaleshwar, Mandaleshwar, Srimahant, Mahant, and more than 50 tribal leaders will converge at the Shri Ram Temple, creating a diverse and spiritually rich gathering to witness the divine consecration ceremony.
