Delhi Lieutenant Governor Distributes Honey Bee Boxes and Toolkits to 130 Beneficiaries.

The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, distributed Honey Bee Boxes and Toolkits to 130 beneficiaries as part of the ‘Gramodyog Vikas Yojna’ initiated by KVIC. The program highlighted the role of KVIC in rural employment generation and received support from esteemed dignitaries, including MP Manoj Tiwari and KVIC Chairman Shri Manoj Kumar. The distribution aimed to empower individuals and promote self-reliance, with various toolkits and certificates being provided to beneficiaries. The event showcased the government’s commitment to rural development and skill enhancement.

Lieutenant Governor Supports Rural Employment Initiatives

The distribution ceremony, presided over by Lieutenant Governor Shri Vinai Kumar Saxena, celebrated the contributions of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission in generating employment opportunities in rural India. Shri SShri Saxena highlighted the remarkable achievements of the Honey Mission initiated by KVIC, with the unwavering support of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. More than 200,000 bee boxes and honey colonies have been distributed among farmers and beekeepers, fostering fresh employment opportunities and augmenting the income of farmers.

MP Manoj Tiwari’s Collaboration for Youth Empowerment

Member of Parliament, Shri Manoj Tiwari, expressed his intention to collaborate with KVIC to encourage youth in his constituency to establish small-scale and cottage industries. He praised the historic work done by KVIC under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in rural development. Shri Tiwari highlighted the dual benefits of self-employment for youth and the creation of employment opportunities for others through these initiatives.

KVIC Chairman Hails India’s Progress and Self-Reliance

Chairman of KVIC, Shri Manoj Kumar, commended India’s progress towards becoming a strong, capable, and self-reliant nation under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He emphasized the significance of the “Make in India” and “Make for World” principles, as well as the vision of “Local to Global” advocated by Shri Narendra Modi. Shri Kumar highlighted KVIC’s continuous efforts to provide new employment avenues in rural India, with the financial year 2022-23 witnessing remarkable achievements and a record turnover exceeding Rs 1.34 lakh crore.

Distribution of Bee-Boxes, Toolkits, and Certificates

The program witnessed the distribution of 100 Bee-Boxes and Bee-Colonies to 10 beneficiaries, as well as Plumber Toolkits to 20 trained beneficiaries and Footwear Repairing Tool Kits to 50 beneficiaries under the Gramodyog Vikas Yojana (GVY). The event positively impacted 35 beneficiaries from Jagatpur village, Delhi. In addition, a Self-Help Group in the Leather Industry received a Leather Footwear Manufacturing Machine & Tool Kits, benefiting 10 beneficiaries. Furthermore, 40 trainees who underwent Leather Footwear training at the Multi-Disciplinary Training Centre (MDTC), KVIC New Delhi, were awarded certificates.

The event saw the attendance of employees and officers representing both the Delhi Government and the Khadi and Village Industries Commission. It highlighted the government’s commitment to empowering rural communities and promoting self-reliance through skill development and employment opportunities.
