Delhi Rain Alert: Emergency Meeting Called Due to Heavy Rain

Delhi Rain: The Delhi government has convened an emergency meeting at the Delhi Secretariat at 2 pm today in response to ongoing heavy rainfall and water-logging across the city. All ministers and concerned department officers are required to attend.

Delhi Rain Updates

According to Delhi’s Regional Weather Forecasting Centre, light to moderate rain persists in Delhi and adjoining areas. Heavy rain is expected at isolated places over the next few hours, accompanied by thunderstorms and winds reaching speeds of 20-40 Km/h.

Monsoon Arrival Status

Despite heavy rainfall, the Indian Meteorological Department has not officially declared the onset of monsoon in Delhi. Forecasts suggest monsoon could arrive within the next two to three days, pending further updates.

Impact on Delhi Airport

Following the roof collapse at Terminal-1 of Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, six people sustained injuries. Flight departures were briefly suspended as authorities managed the aftermath of the incident.
