Delhi Rain Causes Severe Waterlogging and Traffic Disruptions

Delhi Rain: Heavy rain in Delhi and Noida early Tuesday resulted in severe waterlogging, particularly near Ashram Bridge and Minto Road. Parked vehicles were submerged in water, and major locations like Patel Chowk and New Delhi railway station faced severe disruptions due to the downpour.

Traffic Congestion and Diversions

The Delhi traffic police have issued advisories for traffic diversions. Affected areas include Rohtak Road, where potholes and waterlogging have caused significant delays. Diversions are in place for Connaught Place, Minto Road, and other key routes to manage traffic flow and minimize disruptions.

Delhi Rain: Commuter Routes and Alternatives

For those traveling from Connaught Place, diversions include Outer Circle Connaught Place, Barakhamba Road, and Ranjeet Singh Flyover. Commuters from Kamla Market, Bahadurgarh, and Peeragarhi are advised to take alternative routes to avoid heavily affected areas.

IMD Rainfall Forecast and Alerts

The India Meteorological Department has forecasted widespread light to moderate rainfall across Delhi and southwest NCR. A moderate-to-intense spell is expected over Central and East Delhi. Heavy to very heavy rain is predicted for isolated places in Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.
