Delhi Weather Today: The Delhi weather forecast for March 31 predicts the continuation of strong and hot winds sweeping across the national capital. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the day is expected to see an escalation in day temperatures. The sky is anticipated to remain cloudy, indicating that relief from the heat may be scarce.
IMD reports suggest that Delhi and its surrounding areas are unlikely to experience relief from the sweltering heat over the next five days. Hot and robust winds are expected to blow at speeds ranging from 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Maximum and minimum temperatures for Sunday are forecasted to hover around 35 and 20 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Cloudy conditions are expected to persist in Delhi until April 5, with strong winds prevailing until tomorrow. Day temperatures are anticipated to surpass the normal range. Meteorologists advise the public to remain cautious and mindful of the rising daytime temperatures.
Saturday’s temperature readings in Delhi were notably higher than the seasonal average. The maximum temperature recorded stood at 35.2 degrees Celsius, marking a three-degree increase from the norm. Meanwhile, the minimum temperature recorded was 21.8 degrees Celsius, surpassing the seasonal average by four degrees. Humidity levels ranged between 64 to 39 percent. Additionally, Saturday witnessed the highest temperature of the year in Delhi, reaching 37.8 degrees Celsius.
The Air Quality Index (AQI) for Delhi, as per the Central Pollution Control Board, was recorded at 182 on Saturday evening, falling within the ‘moderate’ category. While this is not alarming, it underscores the ongoing challenge of air pollution in the national capital.
