In adherence to the Government of India’s guidelines, the Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare (DA&FW) embarked on Special Campaign 2.0, focusing on cleanliness and enhancing efficiency in decision-making processes. This comprehensive initiative was carried out across all Subordinate/Attached Offices, Autonomous Bodies, and field units in every state of India from November 2022 to August 2023.
Achievements of Special Campaign 2.0:
The Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare achieved significant milestones during Special Campaign 2.0:
- Pendency Reduction: The department excelled in reducing pending matters, addressing a total of 106,774 public grievances and resolving 464 public grievance appeals during the period from November 2022 to August 2023.
- Resolution of References: In addition to the grievance resolution, the department successfully handled 23 references from Members of Parliament, 5 Parliamentary Assurances, 5 State Government References, and 5 Prime Minister’s Office References.
- E-Office Implementation: As part of the campaign, the department adopted and fully implemented e-office 7.0, streamlining office operations and enhancing digital efficiency.
- Delegation of Powers Review: During the campaign, the department conducted a comprehensive review and modification of the Delegation of Powers, ensuring more effective decision-making processes in 2022-23.
Best Practices:
One of the noteworthy initiatives under the Special Campaign 2.0 was the Swachhta Campaign, promoting cleanliness. The Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, along with its Attached and Subordinate offices, launched and successfully implemented a cleanliness drive, reinforcing the commitment to a cleaner and more efficient working environment.
