Department of Science and Technology’s Commitment to Swachhata and Efficiency

In alignment with the Prime Minister’s vision to institutionalize Swachhata (cleanliness) and streamline government processes, the Department of Science and Technology (DST) actively participated in the nationwide Swachhata Campaign under Special Campaign 2.0, from October 2nd to October 31, 2022. This commitment to cleanliness and efficiency extended beyond the campaign period, encompassing the period from November 2022 to August 2023.

Continued Efforts for Swachhata and Timely Disposal:

Throughout the post-campaign period, DST, along with its subordinate and field offices, as well as autonomous bodies, continued its dedicated efforts towards the Swachhata Campaign and the prompt disposal of pending matters.

Key Achievements (December 2022 – August 2023):

During this period, the Department and its affiliated organizations achieved notable milestones, including the resolution of 2,867 public grievances, the liberation of 69,656 square feet of space, revenue generation of Rs. 1,16,94,800 through scrap disposal, the disposal of 88,187 files, and the execution of 359 cleanliness campaigns.

The Department of Science and Technology remains steadfast in its commitment to build upon the objectives and achievements of previous campaigns. Special Campaign 3.0 stands as the next step towards fostering cleanliness and efficiency, in alignment with the broader national vision.
