Keshav Prasad Maurya, a prominent leader and Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, reiterated the central government’s dedication to providing high-quality and affordable healthcare to the underprivileged. He emphasized the substantial progress achieved through the establishment of 1.60 lakh health and wellness centers across the country.
In his statement, Maurya highlighted the significant impact of these health and wellness centers, which have played a crucial role in delivering healthcare services to the masses. The centers serve as primary healthcare hubs, catering to the medical needs of individuals from economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
The Minister also emphasized the impressive reach of healthcare services, revealing that more than 100 crore people have received treatment or undergone medical testing. This substantial figure signifies the government’s commitment to ensuring access to healthcare for a vast number of individuals across the nation.
Furthermore, Maurya emphasized the success of the e-Sanjeevani teleconsultation platform, which has provided medical advice and consultations to over 13 crore people. Through this digital platform, individuals have been able to access healthcare services remotely, particularly during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The combination of health and wellness centers and teleconsultation services has significantly improved access to healthcare for millions of people, especially those in remote areas with limited healthcare infrastructure.
