Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya Calls for Massive Tree Plantation Drive

Tree Plantation: Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya of Uttar Pradesh has rallied citizens towards a significant environmental initiative, calling for a collective effort in planting trees to enrich the state’s green landscape. Emphasizing the importance of environmental conservation, Maurya underscored the need for widespread participation in a tree plantation campaign aimed at fostering a cleaner and greener environment.

“Increase the green area of the state by planting trees and pledging to protect the environment,” Maurya urged, as he announced ambitious targets for the year ahead. Notably, Uttar Pradesh has already witnessed the planting of over 168.14 crore saplings in the past seven years, marking a substantial commitment to environmental sustainability.

Setting a new milestone, Maurya disclosed plans to plant 36.16 crore saplings in 2024 alone, aiming to further bolster the state’s ecological resilience and enhance its natural beauty. This initiative aligns with broader efforts to mitigate environmental challenges and promote a sustainable future for generations to come.

The Deputy Chief Minister’s call to action resonates as a clarion call for environmental stewardship, urging citizens to embrace their responsibility in safeguarding natural resources. Maurya’s leadership in spearheading such initiatives reflects a proactive approach towards addressing climate concerns and ensuring a healthier environment for all Uttar Pradesh residents.
