Renowned filmmaker Vikas Bahl, along with partners Viraj Sawant (Good Co.) and Abhishek Kumar and Nishikant Roy (Talisman Films), has announced a significant cinematic endeavor. The film will center around the historic Battle of Naushera and the recapture of Jhangar in Jammu and Kashmir during the India-Pakistan conflict of 1947-1948.
During a visit to Delhi, Vikas Bahl and his team had the honor of meeting Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at his official residence. The Defence Minister expressed his full support for the project, recognizing its potential to bring to light a crucial chapter of Indian history.
Adding further credibility to the project, renowned national security affairs journalist Nitin Gokhale has joined as a consultant. With a wealth of knowledge and expertise in military history, wars, and insurgencies, Gokhale will work closely with Vikas Bahl and the film’s writers to ensure historical accuracy and authenticity.
The Battle of Naushera holds significant importance in the annals of Indian military history, marking a decisive moment in the country’s struggle for independence and territorial integrity. Through this film, Vikas Bahl aims to not only commemorate the bravery and sacrifices of the soldiers but also shed light on the strategic significance of the conflict.
