Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, addressing the media, confirmed the grim toll of the tragedy. “Six people have been killed and 48 injured in the fire that broke out in Dombivli, near Mumbai. NDRF, SDRF, and TDRF teams are working together to control the fire,” stated Fadnavis, underscoring the collaborative efforts to contain the blaze and prevent its escalation.
The explosion, which originated at the Amber Chemical Company in Phase 2 of the Dombivli MIDC area, sent shockwaves through the vicinity, according to Civil Defence Officer Bimal Nathwani. “The vibration of the blast was experienced in an approximate radius of 5 km,” he remarked, illustrating the magnitude of the blast that reverberated across the region.

Amid the rescue operations, Fadnavis expressed condolences and assured swift action against negligence. “The incident of boiler explosion at Amudan Chemical Company in Dombivli MIDC is tragic. 8 people have been suspended,” he conveyed via a microblogging site, highlighting accountability in the wake of the tragic incident.
