“Today, Dr. Jitendra Singh informed that the ISRO has taken initiatives for feasibility studies on missions to Venus, as well as Aeronomy studies,” said Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology; Minister of State (Independent Charge) Earth Sciences; MoS PMO, Atomic Energy and Space Personnel, Pension, Public Grievances.
About 60 years ago, the term “aeronomy” was coined and introduced. It refers to the scientific study of the high atmospheric regions of the Earth and other solar system bodies.
The dynamics, energy balance, and chemistry of both neutral and charged particles are covered. “Both these missions are conceiving and the scientific scopes are being deliberated nationally with the involvement of the science community,” said Dr. Jitendra Singh.
