On 26th December Governor of Telangana, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, and CM Shri K Chandrashekar Rao received President Droupadi Murmu on her arrival at Secunderabad for a winter sojourn at Rashtrapati Nilayam. The President was accorded a guard of honor on her first visit to Telangana.
Dr. About Tamilisai Soundararajan:-
Born on 2 June 1961, Tamilisai Soundararajan is an Indian politician who has been serving as the 2nd Governor of Telangana since 2021 and is the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry (Additional charge). Prior to this appointment, she was the National Secretary and Tamil Nadu State Unit President of the BJP.
Kumari Ananthan, her father, is a former Member of Parliament and senior congress party leader in Tamil Nadu. Mr. Soundarajan, who is her husband, is a medical doctor. Her cousin, Vijay Vasanth, is an actor and businessman who turned politician.
She attended Ethiraj College for Women, followed by Madras Medical College, Chennai[8], and Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai for her obstetrics and gynecology qualifications. She received advanced training in sonology and FET therapy in Canada.
She worked as an assistant professor at Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai for 5 years prior to her political commitment. Both of her children are doctors, a boy, and a girl.
About K Chandrashekar Rao:-
Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao (born 17 February 1954), often referred to by his initials KCR, is an Indian politician serving as the first and current Chief Minister of Telangana since 2 June 2014.
He is the founder and leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi. State party in India. Rao is known for leading the Telangana movement to achieve statehood for Telangana. Prior to this, he served as the Union Minister for Labor and Employment from 2004 to 2006.
He represents the Gajwel constituency in the Telangana Legislative Assembly. Rao was sworn in as the first Chief Minister of Telangana in 2014 and was re-elected for a second term in 2018.
On February 17, 1954, Chandrashekar Rao was born to Raghava Rao and Venkatamma in Chintamadaka village near Siddipet, present-day Telangana. Rao has nine sisters and one elder brother. RAO holds an MA degree in Telugu Literature from Osmania University, Hyderabad.
