Ladakh: The National Center for Seismology (NCS) has reported a magnitude 3.5 earthquake near Leh, Ladakh, India. The earthquake struck at 10:17:15 IST on April 6, 2024, with its epicenter located at a latitude of 33.35 and longitude of 76.74. The quake’s depth was recorded at five km.
The tremor occurred approximately 104 km SSW (south-southwest) of Alchi, a village in the Leh district of Ladakh. There have been no immediate reports of damage or casualties caused by the earthquake.
The NCS continues to monitor seismic activity in the region and advises residents to stay informed and prepared for any future earthquakes.
