Preparations for Chhath Puja 2022 are in full swing and the celebration is just around the corner. Chhath puja is a Hindu festival celebrated in India, Nepal and other parts of the world. Easy Traditional Recipes For Chhath Puja 2022:
1. Thekua
During Chhath Puja, thekua is the most popular offering. It is a dry sweet made with wheat flour, dry coconut, chasni (melted sugar), and ghee. It is prepared mostly on the second day of Chhath Puja to offer to the Sun God.
2. Kaddu Bhaat
Kaddu Bhaat is a popular sabzi in this festival. Kaddu/Lauki (Bottle Gourd) is cooked in ghee with sendha namak and is paired with fried poori or rice.
3. Kasar Ke Laddu
Another sweet which is prepared during Chhath puja, apart from thekua and rice kheer, is Kasar ke Laddu. This dish is a cinch to whip up and only takes a few minutes. To prepare the recipe, you will need a few ingredients like powdered rice, jaggery powder, ghee, and fennel. Laddu is made on the day of Sandhya Arghya from Kasar.
4. Kheer
Kheer is a type of pudding that is made with milk, rice, and sugar. Kheer is typically served as an offering to the Sun God during the Chhath Puja.
5. Khoi
