Empowering Dreams: Meta and MWCD Unleash the Amrit Generation

Meta and Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, Union Minister for the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD), has jointly launched the Amrit Generation campaign. The objective of this initiative is to provide a platform for the youth of India to express their aspirations and dreams for the future, empowering and engaging them.

The Amrit Generation campaign invites young people from all corners of the country to showcase their creativity and share their aspirations through Reels on Instagram and Facebook. Participants are encouraged to explore their ambitions and envision their future selves, fostering a sense of community and inspiring others in the process.

Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani, the Union Minister for MWCD, stated, “Our youth are the architects of tomorrow’s India. The Amrit Generation campaign aims to engage, inspire, and nurture their aspirations, ensuring that they receive the necessary support and encouragement to realize their dreams. Our joy is immense as we collaborate with Meta India for this significant initiative.

Natasha Jog, Head of Policy Programs and Government Outreach at Meta India expressed enthusiasm for the campaign, saying, “We are committed to helping young people express themselves on Facebook and Instagram, and we are glad to embark on another initiative in partnership with MWCD. Through this campaign, we hope to capture the imagination of young people who can visually present their vision of India in a reel, while also grooming the upcoming leaders of our country.”

The Amrit Generation campaign offers an extraordinary opportunity for youths to express their ambitions and hopes. At Meta India, our belief lies in the empowerment of the next generation and the promotion of hope and ambition toward the future. Collaborating with the Ministry of Women and Child Development to bring this vision to life excites us.

To take part in the Amrit Generation movement, creating a reel on Instagram or Facebook exhibiting one’s aspirations and using the hashtag (#) Amrit Generation is all that’s required. The Facebook GPA Page and social media handles of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India contain eligibility criteria and submission guidelines.

A group of 50 entries will be chosen from the campaign to attend a distinctive event where they can engage with high-level policymakers and industry leaders in New Delhi. The exchange will furnish significant understandings regarding their particular domains and present direction on accomplishing their aspirations.

Young Indians chosen will get to explore the Meta office in Gurugram and gain insights from industry pioneers and innovators on how to benefit from the potential of the creator economy.
