This significant moment marks the sixth budget presentation by Sitharaman, who has been at the helm of the finance ministry since 2019. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman highlighted the government’s ambitious vision, stating their commitment to making India ‘Viksit Bharat’ by 2047. The focus remains steadfast on the principle of “sabka sath, sabka vikas,” indicating an inclusive development approach. In her address, Sitharaman emphasized the government’s attention towards four major groups – the poor, women, youth, and farmers.

The Finance Minister shed light on the PM Janman Yojana, a scheme designed to benefit tribal groups that have historically remained outside the realm of mainstream development. This initiative underscores the government’s dedication to addressing the needs of marginalized communities and ensuring comprehensive growth.
