Flood Rescue Efforts in UP Intensify: Over 87 Rescued, Hundreds Relocated

The Uttar Pradesh government has mobilized a concerted effort in flood-affected regions across the state, aligning with directives from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to prioritize rescue operations and relief efforts.

In response to the ongoing floods in Shravasti and Kushinagar districts, authorities have successfully rescued 87 individuals who were stranded by rising waters. Additionally, approximately 400 villagers from 18 different villages have been safely relocated to higher ground to mitigate further risks posed by the floods.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has issued clear instructions to District Magistrates to promptly assess the extent of crop damage caused by the floods. He has mandated that survey reports be submitted within 24 hours to facilitate immediate compensation for affected farmers. CM Adityanath emphasized zero tolerance for any delays in providing financial assistance to families who have suffered losses of life or property due to the floods.
