As Telangana grapples with the devastating impact of continuous heavy rains leading to widespread flooding, G Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister for Culture and Tourism, has taken swift action to address the crisis. In a telephonic conversation with the Union Home Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), the minister discussed the gravity of the flood situation and the urgent need for support and relief measures.
In response to the state’s distress, G Kishan Reddy was informed by the Union Home Secretary that the central government has immediately activated various resources to aid Telangana. Helicopter services and other critical relief measures have been promptly pressed into action through various central agencies, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). These efforts aim to provide immediate assistance to those affected by the floods and mitigate the hardships faced by the residents of Telangana.
The Union Minister emphasized the central government’s unwavering commitment to extending all necessary relief and support to the flood-hit state.
