G Kishan Reddy Announces Revolutionary Station Development Plan in Telangana

Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, G Kishan Reddy, unveils an ambitious plan for the redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station, signaling a revolutionary leap forward in Telangana’s transportation infrastructure.

“Secunderabad Railway Station Redevelopment Project: 25% of works completed, Budget: Rs.719 Crores,” Reddy announced, highlighting the significant progress and investment allocated to the project.

Once completed, the station is poised to become the first railway station of international standard in Telangana, setting a new benchmark for infrastructure development in the state. Reddy outlined the modern facilities and innovative features that will characterize the revamped station:

  • A new station building at the north side with G+3 floors
  • A south-side building also featuring G+3 floors
  • A double-storey sky concourse
  • Multi-level parking facility at the north side of the station
  • Construction of two walkways (7.5m) along with travelators, enhancing accessibility and convenience for passengers in both the north and south side buildings.

The redevelopment project aims to transform Secunderabad Railway Station into a modern, world-class transportation hub equipped with state-of-the-art amenities.
