Gauri Khan, wife of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, has found herself embroiled in a police case after a Mumbai man accused her of misleading him in an advertisement for a real estate company. The man, Kirat Jaswant Shah, claims that he paid ₹ 86 lakh for an apartment in Lucknow’s Sushant Golf City, which was promised to him in 2016 but never delivered.
Shah filed an FIR against the brand ambassador of the real estate company, Tulsiyani Construction, as well as its managing director, Anil Kumar Tulsiyani, and director, Mahesh Tulsiyani, along with Gauri Khan. Shah has accused Khan of breaching the contract.
According to Shah’s complaint, he was influenced by a 2015 advertisement in which Gauri Khan spoke about the project and decided to purchase the apartment. However, he alleges that he never received the promised property and has suffered a financial loss.
The timing of the FIR is interesting, as Shah Rukh Khan’s latest film “Pathaan” has been breaking box office records and is said to have crossed the ₹ 1000 crore-mark worldwide. However, Gauri Khan’s legal troubles have nothing to do with her husband’s success in the film industry.
The case will now be investigated by the police in Lucknow, and it remains to be seen what action will be taken against Gauri Khan and the others named in the complaint.
