Gautam Rode & Pankhuri Awasthy Introduce Twins’ Names on Janmashtami:

On September 7th, new mom Pankhuri Awasthy shared joyful news with her fans, providing a glimpse into the naming ceremony of their twins. Through a heartwarming video, Pankhuri and Gautam Rode revealed the distinctive and meaningful names they had chosen for their babies. With pride, they introduced their daughter as Radhya and their son as Raditya.

Pankhuri conveyed her emotions with a heartfelt caption, “Grateful for all of God’s blessings… with wide smiles, echoing laughter, a whole lot of dancing, & our hearts full… we, along with our babies… RADHYA & RADITYA, wish you all a very Happy Janmashtami.”

Exploring the Significance of the Names:

Pankhuri went on to provide a meaningful insight into the names they had chosen. Radhya, their daughter’s name, signifies “One who is worthy of worship.” Additionally, it is an endearing reference to Radha, a revered figure in Hinduism, recognized as the Goddess of Love, Tenderness, Compassion, and Devotion. Radha is the embodiment of spiritual love, Krishna’s feminine counterpart, and the Supreme goddess. In Sanskrit, Radhya signifies prosperity, success, and perfection.

Raditya, the name of their son, holds its own significance. It refers to Surya, the Sun God, and Ra, the ancient Egyptian deity of the Sun. In Sanskrit, Ra signifies fire and strength, while Aditya refers to the offspring of Aditi, representing infinity. In the Hindu calendar, Sunday, the day of the Sun, is symbolized by Raditya.

Pankhuri concluded with, “Lord Krishna enchants the world, but Radhya enchants even him!”
