Global Business Leaders Commend Prime Minister’s Vision at 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit

Gujarat: The 10th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit commenced with grandeur at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar, as Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated the event, underlining its theme, ‘Gateway to the Future.’ This edition, hosting 34 partner countries and 16 partner organizations, showcases Gujarat’s commitment to fostering international collaborations and emerging as a global economic force.

Industry Captains’ Perspectives:

1. Lakshmi Mittal – Chairman, ArcelorMittal: Lakshmi Mittal, Chairman of ArcelorMittal, praised the Prime Minister’s emphasis on institutionalizing the Vibrant Gujarat Summit. Highlighting the principles of One Earth, One Family, One Future, Mittal underscored the significance of steel in achieving self-dependence. He shared updates on the ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India Hazira Expansion Project and the commitment to green sectors like renewable energy and green hydrogen.

2. Toshihiro Suzuki – President, Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan: Suzuki credited the Prime Minister for India’s status as the 3rd largest automobile market globally. He applauded the progressive approach, outlining Suzuki’s plans for EV production and contributing to reducing greenhouse emissions through innovative measures like ethanol and green hydrogen.

3. Mukesh Ambani – Chairman, Reliance Group: Mukesh Ambani termed Vibrant Gujarat as the world’s most prestigious investment summit, a testament to Shri Narendra Modi’s vision. Recognizing the Prime Minister’s vision, Adani highlighted India’s remarkable economic growth since 2014. He announced a substantial investment of Rs 55,000 crores in Gujarat by 2025, focusing on a green supply chain and expanding the renewable energy ecosystem.

6. Jeffrey Chun – CEO, Simmtech, South Korea: Chun, as a key supply chain partner, expressed excitement for their India project, aligning with Micron’s initiative. He emphasized the global movement shaping a new supply chain network in India and the strong support from the state and central governments.

7. N Chandrasekaran – Chairman, Tata Sons Limited: Chandrasekaran highlighted the steady progress of Gujarat under visionary leadership, crediting Prime Minister Modi. He elaborated on Tata Group’s expansion plans in Gujarat, spanning EV vehicles, battery production, defense aircraft, and semiconductor fab, reinforcing the state’s importance for the group.
