3. What is the history of Good Governance Day
On December 23, 2014, it was announced that Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya (posthumously) would be receiving India’s highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna. After the announcement, the Modi government announced that the birth anniversary of the former Prime Minister would be treated as Good Governance Day. The day is celebrated every year on December 25 throughout the country.
