In a commendable initiative led by Hon’ble Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur, a group of bright and enthusiastic students from the Hamirpur Parliamentary constituency embarked on a remarkable educational journey as part of the ‘Sansad Bharat Darshan’ program. This initiative, designed to broaden young minds and provide them with a comprehensive understanding of India’s political, cultural, and historical landscape, reached a significant milestone when the participating students had the distinct honor of meeting with Hon’ble Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar at Upa-Rashtrapati Nivas.
The ‘Sansad Bharat Darshan’ program is aimed at fostering a deeper sense of civic awareness and national pride among students. By exposing them to the rich tapestry of India’s heritage and the workings of the nation’s political machinery, it seeks to empower them with the knowledge and inspiration needed to become active and informed citizens.
“During their meeting with Vice-President Dhankhar, the students had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, ask questions, and gain insights into the functioning of India’s constitutional institutions. This unique interaction allowed the young minds to see firsthand the roles and responsibilities of political leaders and to appreciate the significance of active participation in the democratic process”.
The students’ visit to Upa-Rashtrapati Nivas also served to inspire and motivate them in their educational and career journeys.
