Weather: A cyclonic circulation is currently situated over Jharkhand, adjoining northern Odisha, and Chhattisgarh, extending through the lower and middle tropospheric levels and tilting southwestward with height. This circulation is expected to develop into a Low-Pressure Area within the next 24 hours. The monsoon trough remains active and is positioned near its normal location at mean sea level. Additionally, a weak off-shore trough runs along the South Gujarat to North Karnataka coast at mean sea level. Furthermore, a north-south trough extends from Rayalaseema to the Comorin area in the lower tropospheric levels, influencing the weather patterns.

The northwest region of India, including Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan, can expect fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi will experience scattered to fairly widespread rainfall throughout the week. Isolated to scattered rainfall is forecasted for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, and Rayalaseema over the next five days. Coastal Karnataka is likely to see heavy rainfall at isolated places on August 8th.
