The thought of passing gas at inappropriate times and in front of people is one of the worst fears. Gas is one of the most common and embarrassing health problems. Although it is not a disease and is part of the normal digestive process, gassy stomach can be a painful condition. This can cause bloating, abdominal pain, abdominal cramps and heaviness. This condition of accumulation of gas in the digestive system is called flatulence and it occurs when you swallow air while drinking or eating.
The digestive system produces excessive intestinal gas, which is a mixture of oxygen, carbon dioxide, methane, and hydrogen, when the amount of stomach acid is not sufficient for digestion. Other causes of gas include eating spicy foods, not chewing food properly, stress, digestive disorders, bacterial infections and excessive drinking. Excessive gas causes problems like belching, belching, gas and restlessness. Here are some home remedies to get rid of gas and bloating.
Ginger, Cardamom and Fennel
Ginger is a miraculous herb and is used in home remedies to treat ailments like headache, stomachache and sore throat. It can also be used to get relief from the problem of gas and is an effective remedy for indigestion.
Method: Take one spoon ground ginger, one spoon cardamom and fennel. Mix all the ingredients together and take a spoon of this mixture and mix it in a cup of water. Also add a pinch of asafoetida or hing in the water. Drink this solution twice a day. Garlic with Black Pepper and Cumin
Garlic is another option to treat gas problem. It has healing properties and helps in proper digestion. Include garlic in your meals and soups to prevent gas formation.
Method: Take a cup of water and boil it. Now take a few cloves of garlic and grind it. Add grated garlic to the water. Add some black peppercorns and cumin seeds. Let it boil for a few minutes and then take it off the fire. Strain the drink and let it cool. Drink it thrice a day.
Ajwain or carom seeds
Ajwain or Ajwain is effective in the treatment of gas problem. The thymol present in oregano triggers the secretion of gastric juice, which helps in proper digestion of food.

Buttermilk

Method: Take a glass of buttermilk and add a pinch of black salt and ground carom seeds to it. Mixing it well and drinking it once or twice a day provides relief from gas problem.
Steamed Pumpkin
Pumpkin helps in reducing gas formation in the stomach. All you need is a pumpkin for this remedy.
Method: Take a cup of pumpkin and steam it. You can eat it raw or baked or boiled. Eat it everyday.
Apple Cider Vinegar and Water
Apple cider vinegar is another remedy for flatulence. It treats gas and calms the stomach. It is recommended to use apple cider vinegar for the remedy but if you do not have it, you can use regular vinegar.
Method: Take a glass of warm water and add two spoons of apple cider vinegar to it. Drink it once a day, preferably in the morning.
Hot Lemonade
Lemon helps with digestion because it contains acid that triggers the formation of hydrochloric acid, which breaks down food. Lemon is also effective in treating gas and bloating.
Method: Take a glass of warm water and add about two tablespoons of lemon juice to it. You can also add slices of three lemons instead of lemon juice. Mix it and drink this lemonade on an empty stomach in the morning.
