Moong dal khichdi plays an important role in diarrhea. The reason for this is that the digestive system is weak during diarrhea, so heavy food should not be taken. Moong dal khichdi or porridge are best. This will give energy to the body and whatever you eat, it will be digested. Curd or buttermilk can be consumed with Khichdi.
It is advisable to eat curd rice in diarrhea. The bacteria present in curd improves the digestive system. Yogurt helps fight microbial infections. Curd can be consumed 2-3 times a day during diarrhea.

The thing to keep in mind is that do not drink apple juice as it contains sugar which hinders stopping diarrhea. Two apples can be eaten a day to improve the stomach. Carrot soup lightens the stomach. Also it is easy to digest. Warm carrot soup gives relief to the inner part of the stomach.
Another simple home remedy is ginger. Make a paste by grinding fresh ginger. Consume the paste mixed with warm water with honey. This solution can be taken 2 to 3 thrice a day. Mint tea is beneficial for all kinds of stomach disorders. Boil mint leaves in clean water for 10 minutes and consume 2 to 3 cups of tea a day.
The bark and leaves of acacia and arjuna are helpful in preventing diarrhea. Apart from this, cinnamon is effective in treating various stomach related ailments including diarrhea. A decoction of the bark of Arjuna can be made and consumed every day (not more than 15 grams).
Isabgol is the most effective treatment for diarrhea. It originates from the middle husk of the Plantago plant. It has properties to cure digestive disorders. It also cures gas and abdominal pain. Eat 5 to 10 grams of isabgol husk mixed with curd in a day.
