The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast indicating the onset of a fresh spell of weather activity over Northwest India from April 26th to 28th. According to IMD, this spell is expected to bring rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds to the region.
Specifically, IMD has highlighted the likelihood of hailstorms over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad on April 26th and 27th, followed by Himachal Pradesh on April 27th and 28th, 2024. Additionally, isolated heavy rainfall is predicted over the same areas on April 27th and 28th.
Furthermore, IMD warns of isolated hailstorms over Punjab and Haryana on April 26th and 27th, coinciding with strong surface winds ranging from 25 to 35 kmph over Uttar Pradesh and south Rajasthan from April 25th to 27th.
