IMD Forecasts Isolated Extremely Heavy Rainfall Across Multiple States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a significant weather advisory highlighting the likelihood of isolated extremely heavy rainfall in several regions across India. According to IMD’s forecast, the affected areas include Konkan & Goa, Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat region, Coastal Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, and Kerala & Mahe. These regions are expected to experience intense downpours on July 15th and 16th, which could lead to localized flooding and disruptions in normal life.

Heavy Rainfall Across Multiple States

IMD further emphasized that the monsoon activity is set to remain active in Peninsular and adjoining central India for the next 4-5 days. This forecast underscores the need for residents and authorities to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to mitigate any potential impacts from the heavy rainfall.
