The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a forecast predicting isolated extremely heavy rainfall over West Madhya Pradesh and rainfall across East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh on July 22. The IMD also anticipates extreme rainfall in Gujarat, Konkan & Goa, and Madhya Maharashtra over the next three days, followed by heavy to very heavy rainfall.
“According to the IMD, isolated extremely heavy rainfall is expected in West Madhya Pradesh, with very heavy rainfall anticipated in East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Chhattisgarh on July 22.”
The department further indicated that “isolated extreme rainfall is also very likely over Gujarat State, Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra during the next 3 days and heavy to rainfall thereafter.”
Additionally, the IMD has highlighted an increase in rainfall activity over the Indo-Gangetic plains during the next three days. Residents in these regions are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions as rainfall can lead to flooding and other related issues.
