The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a warning about the likelihood of heat wave conditions in several regions across India from May 14th to 18th, 2024. According to the IMD, isolated or some pockets over Konkan are expected to experience heat wave conditions on the 14th and 15th of May.
The alert extends to West Rajasthan, where heat wave conditions are anticipated from the 15th to the 18th of May. Similarly, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, south Haryana, and Bihar are likely to witness heat wave conditions during the period from the 16th to the 18th of May.
Moreover, the IMD highlighted the possibility of severe heat wave conditions in isolated pockets of West Rajasthan on the 17th and 18th of May. In addition, Punjab and south Haryana may experience severe heat wave conditions on the 18th of May, 2024.
