IMD Issues Weather Warnings for Multiple Regions Across India

Weather: The IMD predicts widespread light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Central India. Scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is expected in Himachal Pradesh, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, and East Rajasthan. Isolated to scattered rainfall is likely over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Punjab, and West Rajasthan during the next five days. Heavy rainfall is particularly anticipated in Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh, with very heavy rainfall expected in Uttar Pradesh from July 10th to 12th.

East & Northeast India

East and Northeast India are expected to experience fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning, over the coming days. Isolated heavy rainfall is forecasted for Bihar, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura. Very heavy rainfall is also expected over Bihar, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and Meghalaya during specific periods.

West & South Peninsular India

Regions in West and South Peninsular India, including Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Kerala & Mahe, Lakshadweep, and Coastal Karnataka, are likely to experience fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning. Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall is expected in Marathwada, Gujarat Region, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, and Interior Karnataka. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is predicted in areas like Konkan & Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Coastal Karnataka, especially in the Ghat areas.
