This sentence can be rewritten as Railways have seen an improvement of 16% in earnings, with Rs 120478 crore earned this year as compared to Rs 104040 crore last year.
Originating freight loading during December has increased by 3% compared to last year. Revenue from the freight of Rs. 14573 crores has been achieved against Rs 12914 crore freight earnings on December 21, thereby an improvement of 13% over last year.
The IR has been working hard to make it easier to do business and improve service delivery at competitive prices, which has led to an increase in traffic from both conventional and unconventional commodity sources, following the mantra: “Hungry For Cargo.”
This landmark achievement was helped by the customer-centric approach and work of Business Development Units backed up by agile policymaking.
