She mentioned that the international community looks towards India for solutions to pressing global challenges such as sustainable growth, climate change, cyber security, disaster management, and combating extremism and terrorism. With this, she urged the young officers to embrace these challenges and use them as stepping stones for their personal and professional growth.
While encouraging the probationers to discharge their responsibilities diligently, the President reminded them that their ultimate aim should always be fostering growth and development in India. She emphasized the need for cooperation between Indian diplomats and officers from other civil services to achieve the larger goal of prosperity in the nation.
Highlighting the significance of the Indian Diaspora, which comprises 33 million-strong individuals worldwide, the President urged the young diplomats to nurture and promote their important role. She emphasized the importance of delivering consular services and community outreach with a sensitivity and humane touch. Regular interactions with the Indian community members, she said, are essential to look after their welfare and address their concerns effectively.
