In celebration of the vibrant Holi festival, Indian Railways has taken proactive steps to accommodate the surge in passenger traffic by initiating 540 additional train services. This strategic move aims to provide convenience to travelers while ensuring efficient connectivity across major destinations throughout the country.
The newly introduced train services span various popular routes such as Delhi-Patna, Delhi-Bhagalpur, Delhi-Muzaffarpur, and many more. These connections are strategically planned to cater to the diverse needs of passengers, facilitating seamless travel experiences during this festive period.
The distribution of these services among different railway zones showcases a concerted effort by Indian Railways to address regional demands and optimize connectivity. Notably, major railway zones including Central Railway (CR), Eastern Railway (ER), Northern Railway (NR), and Western Railway (WR) are actively participating in this initiative, among others.
To ensure smooth operations and passenger safety, crowd control measures have been implemented at terminus stations, with Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel overseeing orderly entry into unreserved coaches. Additional RPF staff have been deployed at key stations to bolster security measures and assist passengers as needed.
Moreover, dedicated officers are on standby for emergency duties at major stations, ready to address any disruptions promptly. Timely announcements of train arrivals and departures, along with platform numbers, contribute to enhancing passenger experience and minimizing inconvenience.
By proactively expanding train services and implementing robust crowd management measures, Indian Railways demonstrates its commitment to facilitating hassle-free travel experiences for passengers during the festive season. This concerted effort not only enhances connectivity but also underscores the organization’s dedication to passenger comfort and safety.
