Jemimah Rodrigues shone as the Indian women’s team beat Sri Lanka’s women’s team by 41 runs in the Women’s Asia Cup 2022.

It was Sri Lanka’s turn to bat after India finished at 150/6 after 20 overs. The Indian women bowling attack showed great character in reply as Sri Lanka were all out for 109.

The Indian women’s cricket team, led by Harmanpreet Kaur, defeated the Sri Lankan women’s cricket team by 41 runs on Saturday (October 1) to begin their Asia Cup 2022 campaign on a positive note. Smriti Mandhana and co were invited to bat first after Sri Lanka won the toss. Once again, Jemmiah Rodrigues shined with the bat, scoring a blistering 76 off just 53 balls to help the Women in Blue post 150 on the board.

It was Sri Lanka’s turn to bat after India finished at 150/6 after 20 overs. The Indian women’s bowling attack showed great character as Sri Lanka were all out for 109 in 18.2 overs. Dayalan Hemalatha (3/15), Pooja Vastrakar (2/12), Deepti Sharma (2/15) and Radha Yadav (1/15) took wickets.
