The Ministers of Civil Aviation are Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia and Gen. Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh (Rtd.) A direct flight from Kolhapur to Bengaluru was inaugurated today.
The flight will operate according to the following schedule, starting on January 13th:

In his inaugural address, Minister of Civil Aviation, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia said that an investment of 245cr has been finalized for the construction of a new airport terminal, expansion of the runway, and the establishment of an ATC tower in Kolhapur with the focus on the development and progress of the city.
Today, with the inauguration of this route, Kolhapur is connected with Hyderabad, Tirupati, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and India’s silicon capital Bengaluru, furthering the vision and mission of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to connect every corner of India.
This connectivity will bring new opportunities and benefit the people of both cities.

Prof. Sanjay Sadashivrao Mandlik, MP, Lok Sabha, and Shri Ruturaj Sanjay Patil, MLA – Kolhapur South, graced the inauguration. Shri SK Mishra, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, R. K. Singh, Principal Advisor, and other dignitaries from MoCA,, IndiGo, AAI, IndiGo, and local administration from Kolhapur were also present.
