Kalki Koechlin is an Indian film actress and screenwriter. She has appeared in several Bollywood films, including Dev.D, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
Kalki was born in Pondicherry, India to a French family. Koechlin’s father established a business designing hang-gliders and ultralight aircraft in Kallatty, a village near Ooty in Tamil Nadu, where the family later settled. She studied drama at Goldsmiths, University of London, and worked with a local theatre company at the same time.
Kalki made her acting debut with the film Dev.D in 2009. Kalki Koechlin won critical acclaim for her performance in the film. In 2011, she appeared in the film Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara and won several awards for her performance in the film.
