Upcoming Indian sports action film Liger, written and directed by Puri Jagannadh, is set to release 25th of August.
The film is produced by Dharma Productions and Puri Connects and was shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages.
In the film, Vijay Deverakonda stars as a titular MMA fighter boxer with Ananya Panday, Ronit Roy, and Ramya Krishna in pivotal roles.
In Indian cinema, American boxer Mike Tyson makes his acting debut with an extended cameo.

The film was announced back in 2019, before the title was announced in January 2021.This is the first film in which Deverakonda has appeared in a Hindi film and Panday in a Telugu film. Tanishk Bagchi and Vikram Montrose composed the songs.
Principal photography began in January 2020 but was halted after March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After some other shooting suspensions in the pandemic, filming resumed in February 2021 and Liger was wrapped up in February 2022.
The theatrical release for Liger is scheduled for 25 August, 2022.
