The country is currently immersed in the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024, and today, May 20, is the day when the people of Mumbai can exercise their vote to support the political party of their choice.
To ensure maximum voter turnout, several Bollywood stars have been actively encouraging citizens to head to the polling booths. Among them, Amitabh Bachchan made a particularly quirky appeal. On May 20, residents of the polling constituencies in Maharashtra, including six constituencies in Mumbai, have the opportunity to make their voices heard.
Amitabh Bachchan took to Instagram to share a unique animated video. The video features various animals in a jungle dancing to a fun remix of the popular song “Abhi Toh Party Shuru Hui Hai,” originally picturized by Sonam Kapoor in the movie “Khoobsurat.” Accompanying the video, Big B wrote, “Tomorrow is your day for Vote Mumbai /Maharashtra. Exercise your right.”
Joining the megastar, other B-town celebrities like Ayushmann Khurrana, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, Rajkummar Rao, Emraan Hashmi, Bhumi Pednekar, Vishal Dadlani, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Jackky Bhagnani also took to social media to urge their fans to participate in the elections.
These efforts by Bollywood stars aim to inspire every eligible voter in Mumbai to contribute to the democratic process and make their vote count in the General Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
